The meeting was called to order at 6:05 p.m.  Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all.  Supervisor Groy and Chairman Younglove were present along with 6 residents.  Supervisor Paulsen was absent and excused. 

Chairman Younglove made a motion to adopt the agenda as written.  The motion was seconded by Supervisor Groy and the motion carried. 

The clerk read the minutes of December 2022 meeting.  Supervisor Groy made a motion to accept the minutes as read.  The motion was seconded by Chairman Younglove and the motion carried. 

The treasurer’s report was given.  Supervisor Groy made a motion to accept the report as given.  The motion was seconded by Chairman Younglove and the motion carried. 

Recycling report showed that there were 19.63 tons of garbage in December and 2 tons of recyclables. 

Report on permits and signs were that there were no fire signs and one building permit; a 32x48 two story detached garage on Maple Ridge. 

End of year report from Ordinance Administrator showed that in 2022 we had 67 permits issued vs 82 in 2021.  The dollar value of the permits was $1,602,225 vs. $890,600 in 2021 which was an 80% increase in dollar value. 

End of year report for the Fire Department was total expenses for 2022 was $56,056.28 and income for 2022 was $49,601.01.  Their balance on hand is $186,523.15. 

Discussion of ongoing road improvement projects is that the crew has had a couple of breakdowns and they are just trying to keep up on the roads. 

Correspondence is that there will be a Towns Association unit meeting in Athelstane. 

Public comments were a question on assessments.  The resident was given the number of the assessor to call and discuss his questions. 

Motion made by Chairman Younglove to pay bills in the amount of $280,296.18.  The motion was seconded by Supervisor Groy and the motion carried. 

The next meeting will be February 14, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.  Supervisor Groy made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  The motion was seconded by Chairman Younglove and the motion carried.  Meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
