Highlights of Town of Beecher Building Ordinance

(This is not all inclusive)

                   

Sanitary Permit/ Zoning Permit

         A Marinette County Sanitary Permit for sewerage system or privy must be obtained before a building permit can be issued for a dwelling. Contact Ryan Parchim or Robert Champeau(715-732-7535).

Building Size

         Minimum size of dwelling shall be 600 sq ft of living space on first floor per dwelling unit. Only ONE dwelling per parcel.

Lot Size Min

            Minimum of 2 acres. 100 ft road frontage min. If you don’t have enough acreage, a variance will be needed. Contact me for more information.        

                                   

Building Setbacks

            In town limits-Front Yard --43 ft. minimum from center of town road.  For State Trunk Highways and Federal Highways-110 ft minimum from the center line or 50 feet outside the nearer right-of-way, whichever is more restrictive. County Highways- 75 ft. center line, 42 ft. right away, whichever is more restrictive.. 10 ft. from all property lines

Permanent Foundation

         Every building intended for human habitation or occupancy shall be on a permanent foundation. (Concrete slab, concrete foundation wall, etc.)

 

What you need to obtain a building permit:

 

         1. Copy of tax form or other showing your tax parcel # and your legal description.

         2. Permit Application Sheet  Form A        

         3. Map of building in relation to property lines and roads or lakes/rivers if applicable.

         4. $50.00 Building permit fee. Make check out to the Town where the work will be done.

         5. $75.00 Fire number fee if one is needed. Each parcel with a structure or camper must have one.

         A new dwelling of any kind will need to get a Town Permit and State UDC Permit. See me for more information.

          6. Any new commercial/retail business must obtain State permits and send a copy to me before I can issue a town permit. Contact me for more details.

          7. County Permit/Wetland/DHS Sheet  Form B---- Copy of Sanitary Permit and/or Zoning Permit from Ryan Parchim or Robert Champeau(715-732-7535) Contact him in regards to either permit you will need. Even if you have no plumbing or septic going in, you still need to contact him. Failure to obtain one may render major fines by County!
